Gateway Youth Awards is a non-profit endeavor of some youths of Ogun State, Nigeria led by Akinpelu Michael to honor the outstanding youths of Ogun State. This award is anchored on Integrity and will be delivered without bias. No fees or services will be charged at any stage of the awards and even tickets to the awards shall not be sold. We believe we can honour the best among us, and with God's grace and your support, we will.

Gateway Youth awards is all about celebrating youths of Ogun State who have done extraordinarily in various walks of life. It's about time to start celebrating and rewarding our outstanding youths, as this will motivate them to strive to do more. This will also inspire others to always aim for excellence, and this is the main objective of 'Gateway youth Awards'. The awards will also foster unity and serve as a meet point for the youths of Ogun State.

Gateway  youth Awards  officially  started on August  20th, after the completion of the official website (www.gyawards.com) by the popular Ogun State born and Texas based web-designer  and co-founder of Spotagory™ Emmanuel Iroko.

It was introduced to the Youths of Ogun State via twitter with the hash tag #Gateway Youth Awards, and it recorded a twitter trend in about three hours.

We were supported by 'Panache Empire ' to organise a free-access awareness party for all Ogun State youths in Lagos State on September 13th, 14th, and 15th  at Club Frenzy-Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria, Liquid Lounge-Ikeja, Nigeria and Vertigo Bar-Elegushi Beach, Lagos respectively.  The  turn out was Large as several youths came out to represent Ogun State and their Ogun State based Institutions. We had several celebrities come out to grace the occasions too.

Scheduled for November is a series of Awareness parties and tours in Ogun State. The main Awards Presentation Event, coupled with the Gateway Fashion Show shall hold on December 15th 2013 in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
